A TOP SNORKELING SPOT WITH A VIVID HISTORY
These historic waters were Captain James Cook first landed for the first time on Hawai‘i Island in 1778. The beach is rocky and not great for lounging; however, this site hosts one of the best snorkeling spots in the State and is a place of rest for spinner dolphins (please respect the space of spinner dolphins who come to the area to rest).
