Kona Lunapule is centrally located in Kailua Kona, in the Island of Hawaii. It's just a short drive to local restaurants and shops along the coast of Ali'i Drive. This quaint complex features a communal pool and onsite parking. Upstairs you will find 205B; a quiet and comfortable 2-bedroom unit.

Bask in the warm natural sunlight that enters the living area through the lanai sliding doors. Enjoy views of the ocean while you lounge on the lanai. Sit back and drink a cool beverage as you watch the gorgeous coastal sunsets that Kailua Bay has to offer.

There is plenty of space to enjoy your breakfast, lunch, or dinner from the kitchen bar or the dining area. The kitchen comes equipped with cooking appliances and a dishwasher.

The primary bedroom has a California king bed and a full walk-in tub and shower. The guest bedroom has two twin-size beds with a full bathroom. This unit comfortably sleeps four people.

Please note: This unit is upstairs and has no elevator and is not fully accessible for those with disabilities. While we also welcome children, the lanai is NOT childproof. There is no AC but it has wonderful ocean breezes and fans to keep you cool.

While we strive to keep all photos up to date, there may be new and updated pieces of furniture or decor that are different than in the original pictures. The functionality, available seating and sleeping space will remain the same or may improve.

Hot Vacation Spot Near The Beach

It was amazing in Kona Hawaii. The condo we rented had everything we needed. However, restless nights because of the heat would have made difference if there was air conditioning. A few more wash cloths and towels would have been nice too. But over all, we had a great stay.

Clean, comfortable, no A/C

A solid VRBO. 2 bed 2 bath with working appliances. It is hot but there are a lot of fans + locking screen doors so you can leave the doors open to help cultivate a breeze. I had a great time and was happy for the location (a 20 min walk to the main area, 5 min walk to a little beach)

Great Retreat

This condo was a great place to decompress. Quiet location and close enough to all the shops and restaurants available via walk or drive. The layout worked good for our party of four. Just enough area to see the bay from the lanai and catch some Whales passing by.
Our only comment would be to request the cleaning company to mop the lanai a well. We never wore our slippers in the condo, but relaxing on the lanai would make our feet dirty. Therefore you would be bringing that onto the carpet.
As we are starting our search for a retirement investment location, part time or full time, this complex would definitely be a consideration.

Big Island Lunapule Condo B205

Overall a great place to stay on the Big Island. Property sits on the corner of Luna Pule and Ali'i Drive, making it a short drive/walk to many locations. Up the hill you have a sandwich and tea/coffee shop. Driving south on Ali'i Drive there's Green Flash Coffee shop and Magic Sands bar and grill even further south. KTA and Sac & Save markets are all within a ten minute drive, as well as Coconut Grove Market Place with many restaurants and bars. The condo does not have air conditioning which they are up front about but there are plenty of fans (ceiling and window) and you get a good breeze out of the south/southeast at night. That being said, the front bedroom stays much cooler than the master. All the appliances are clean and in good working order. Plenty of beach toys for the kids, as well as coolers, beach towels, umbrella and a couple of chairs. The only minor issues noted was the door locks to bedrooms and bathroom are old and require you to push the knob in and twist clockwise to lock, versus just a push button. Ceiling fan blades are swollen and warped on the edges making you believe there's a build up of dust when its just the pressed wood exposed. But like I said, minor details that would have no bearing on whether or not we would stay there again. We would and possibly will if available on our next trip the Big Island, 5 stars!

Perfect part of Paradice

The property is nicely nestled away in perfect area, far enough from town so you don"t hear the goings on but close enough (10 minutes walk) to enjoy the many restaurants ,bars, shopping. Very well taken care of, very clean and well layed out. Very roomy (was just my wife and I and we had so much space) Pretty much have to pool to yourself and back patio area. You are living with locals and all the ones we met were very nice and it is a very quiet complex. Ya there is no A/C but you know that so no sense complaining about it after the fact. If you stay here you will not be disapointed.. Enjoy !!

Kona trip

We had a nice time in Kona. Unfortunately, DH got sick (not covid) and it was a comfortable place to recover. The only issue was the lack of air conditioning which made the place hot during the day.

Convenient Location

This vacation rental is in such a great location and easily accessible. The view from the patio is amazing. The apartment is well stocked and very spacious. There is so much to see and do with lots of great places for food and shopping in the area. If I go to Kona again, I will definitely book again.

Great condo and location.

We enjoyed the condo for our family vacation and it met our needs. I would suggest that you are clearer in your listing that the beach/snorkel equipment you provide is not kept up and maintained, and is all left by other renters.... The note was provided in the condo, but not on the website at time of booking. (Two of the boogie boards were broken and the snorkel equipment was unusable when we arrived)

Month long stay at Big Island Condo

A friend and I stayed at the Big Island Lunapule condo for about a month. Overall, our stay was great! The unit is clean, modern, and quiet. Kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. It got a little hot at times, but there were plenty of fans in the apartment. It is just a 5 minute walk from Honl's beach - perfect for sunsets, and right in the center of Kona's restaurants. Coldwell Bankers was extremely responsive and great to work with! The only issue with the unit was the WiFi - it was very spotty and often dropped connection. Would recommend for anyone looking to visit the Big Island but if you're looking to work from the unit, be ready with an alternate source of internet (e.g. hotspot).
