Great location

This location can’t be beat. Just south of Kona, this location is quieter than the more crowded area at the north end of Ali’i drive. The balcony was amazing and we saw whales from the balcony most mornings. The unit was clean and we enjoyed having access to a pool and hot tub. The dishwasher was unavailable during our stay, two fridge shelves were missing, making the fridge awkward to use, and the vent hood control panel broke during our visit. While representatives were quick to respond to our concerns, they still meant that our kitchen wasn’t as use-able as we had hoped it would be during our stay, and that’s the reason for the four-star rating.

A Perfect Big Island Nest

We loved this place: its location, the sound of birds in the morning, the peekaboo ocean view, the furnishings, the details provided for. We've stayed in many Kona condos, and while this was not the fanciest it was absolutely one of the most enjoyable. Peaceful, well appointed (every detail thought out), and with a beach for watching sunrises and sunsets right across the street.

Great for families, couples and singles

I'd like to piggyback on the comment about ADA (American Disabilities Act) compliancy and the only way I know to do that is to leave a review. I know the management company tries hard to make it clear in the photos and description... there ARE stairs and it is not ADA design. (The verbiage about stairs can be found at the end of the description.) Also please know the management company posts their contact information in several places in the unit, and they are extremely responsive to problems, so don't hesitate to call them! That's why they post their number... they WANT to help solve any problem encountered. Housekeeping was not aware of the torn mattress pad (located under the mattress protector and the sheets) and that has been replaced with a brand new one. They really do want you have a COMPLETELY enjoyable Hawaiian vacation! I've stayed here several times. New artwork and lamps have recently enhanced the already beautiful decor; every detail seemed attended to.

Spacious, Clean and Well-equipped

This is a spacious and comfortable unit where you can enjoy relaxing on the lanai, swimming in the pool or walking to the beach. While Magic Sands Beach is very active, this unit is set in the back, so it's still quiet . . . except for the amazing array of birds. The unit includes a few puzzles and games, books and pamphlets about the island, and a well equipped kitchen. The overall property was very clean as well. Everyone we ran into was polite. I highly recommend this place.

GREAT vacation landing spot

We could not have asked for a better vacation home for the week. The unit has ocean views and is right across the street from magic sands. You can easily walk there but Can’t hear noise from the beach. Great snorkeling just a few minutes up the road. The main strip of Kona is just a few minutes by car, so you’re close but not too close. We used the kitchen every day and it was a great $ saver. We ate meals out on the lanai listening to the birds. Farmers markets nearby in either direction. Bed was comfortable, shower was nice. Definitely recommend a car for vacation to big island in general. Excited to return and visit again!

All around amazing!!

The condo was equipped with everything you would need to live there!! Even had great beach equipment! Great plus because I didn’t have to purchase anything for the beach! My 2 weeks were great! Communication was top notch! Quick response and great material for things to do around the island! Would definitely recommend and stay again!! Amazing all around!!
