This inviting condo is conveniently near one of the two resort pools that are yours to enjoy and is perfect for 4-6 guests with comfortable furnishings, beach amenities, and a large tree-top level lanai surrounded by plumeria trees.

The second-floor entry level features living, dining, kitchen, and lanai areas with cozy furnishings, sofa sleeper, smart TV, dining table for 4, and additional breakfast bar seating. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect to have all your island favorites on hand!

Completing the entry level are the second bedroom (with resort pool view) featuring two twin beds that can be converted to a single King with advance request, a spacious bathroom with shower, a full-size washer and dryer for your convenience, and even a cute wet bar.

Upstairs is all about the primary suite! This upper-level oasis features more mountain and garden views, vaulted ceilings, in-room air conditioner, smart TV, multiple closets, and spacious ensuite bath with walk-in shower. (Note: the in-room air conditioning is in the primary suite only).

Why we love this area:
As part of the desirable Poipu Kai Resort, you'll also enjoy access to a second resort pool as well as tennis courts. The tennis courts are available to guests at $10/day, other fees may apply. Walk along the greenbelt walk to Brennecke's Beach and Poipu Beach or towards Shipwrecks Beach Park. Here you will spot sea turtles, and in the right season, humpback whales. There is so much fun to be had from bodyboarding, surfing, snorkeling, or simply relaxing on the beach! Enjoy all that "Sunny Poipu" has to offer from this great condo at "Makanui at Poipu Kai." While we strive to keep all photos up to date, there may be new and updated pieces of furniture or décor that are different than in the original pictures. The functionality, available seating, and sleeping space will remain the same or may improve.

Please Note: The re-plastering of the pool project is set to commence on Monday, September 16, 2024, from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. This project is expected to last approximately 11 weeks, with a tentative reopening scheduled for November 18th. Please note that weather conditions and unforeseen circumstances may affect the target completion date.

Great escape in Kauai

The place is very conveniently located. Close to the ocean-front walking areas, close to restaurants, and walking paths to 3 different beaches.
Very easy to park. Short walk to the condo. Lanai is spacious and airy. Both floors are full of light.
Appliances are in good condition. If you need anything, help arrives pretty quickly.

Great Choice

We really enjoyed our stay. The unit was spacious, clean, well maintained and well equipped. We prepared all of our breakfasts and a few lunches and dinners in house. We were very pleased with the cooking facilities and the cooking supplies provided. We enjoyed the large TV in the family room and the large selection of channels. Also the internet worked very well. We had an issue with a hose connected to the air conditioner and the property manager, Shellah was very responsive. Also Shellah was very friendly and provided some great suggestions on places to eat and things to do while in Kauai. I highly recommend this property and would love to stay there again.

Makanui 521

We had a great start 5 and enjoyed this condo very much. It was perfect for our family of 4. Great location for access to the beach. Reservations personnel were very helpful and accommodating.

Absolutely perfect!

We loved our stay here! It was immaculate and had everything we needed. The location was so beautiful and we loved sitting on the lanai to have coffee/breakfast and enjoy the views. Walking the trail through the gorgeous area to Poipu Beach and Brennecke’s Beach was another bonus. Parking was easy and being next to the pool was great too. Highly recommend and we hope to visit again some day!

Lovely Stay

First Trip To Kauai

Very satisfied with the property we stayed in. Lots of space and had all the amenities you need for you stay. Condo is in a great location with easy access to the walking path and a quick drive to Poipu Beach and the restaurants and mall. Pool area is very nice and because it was so close, we actually used it a couple times. We are beach people so usually don’t use the pool very much but this was so convenient we took advantage.

A wonderful stay

Beautiful space and location. The lanai breeze was heavenly, as was the view. Walkable to shipwreck beach and brennecke’s beach.

Lovely, spacious and clean condo in great location

We really enjoyed our stay at Makanui 521. Location was great with easy short walks to a few beaches and Little Fish Coffee. Access to a pool was great, too (we had our infant son who got to take his first dip!) Space was clean and bright, appreciated the laundry, beach towels and toiletries. We also loved sipping coffee on the patio and watching the sunrise. Working with Leimomi at CBIV was a breeze, she was so kind and responsive. We would definitely recommend this spot to any friends visiting Kauai and Poipu. Thank you!

LOVED Kauai Makanui 521!

Completely informed pre-arrival. Condo location great for easy walking to beaches. Pool never loud but peaceful. Bedrooms separated so nice & quiet. Views from condo great and could hear the ocean at night! Nice open-concept. Plenty of parking. GREAT Condo!
