Our deluxe end-unit townhome boasts 2 large sliding doors that open to sweeping ocean views. This corner unit has 2 walls of windows that face a spacious green lawn area with Pacific Ocean views just beyond. Enjoy unobstructed ocean views from every downstairs room and the upstairs primary bedroom. Sit and relax on either lanai. You'll be just steps from the pool area, lush with tropical foliage. Downstairs you will find a spacious entry, main living area, dining, kitchen, full bath with shower, and laundry facilities. Upstairs you will enjoy 2 large bedrooms, each with an en suite bath.
Luxurious comfort is to be expected, with all the amenities and tropical furnishings any true Kauai experience could provide. All the beds are plush and brand new! The primary suite has a king bed perfect for gazing out the full-length glass doors that open directly to the blue Pacific. Let the rolling waves soothe you to sleep! The primary bath has double sinks, a bathtub and separate shower. The 2nd bedroom looks down on fragrant gardens and has a peek of the pool area. Here you will find a queen bed along with a single bed. This bath has a single sink and large walk-in shower.
Louvered windows crank open to allow the trade winds to flow throughout. Portable air conditioning units are located in each bedroom for your sleeping comfort on Kauai's warmer nights. (Please note that none of the units at the Poipu Kapili resort have central A/C).
One of the most popular surf spots on the South Side of Kauai is just off-shore from Poipu Kapili. Watch the locals tame the waves! Just beyond the surf is popular scuba site "Sheraton Caves"and great snorkeling can be found at the reefs closer in. Other nearby destinations include: Spouting Horn, Allerton Botanical Gardens, Sheraton Beach, World-renowned Poipu Beach and beautiful Brennecke Beach.
Poipu Shopping Village is a few hundred yards away. Also within moments is The Shops at Kukui'ula, with upscale shopping, galleries and many restaurants and cafes, along with a market and drugstore. The shopping area borders the 18-hole Kiahuna Golf Course and the 10-court Kiahuna Tennis Club.
According to Frommer's Online Travel Guide, Poipu Kapili is the premier South Side resort condo complex. Amongst the plantation-style buildings, you will find a relaxed atmosphere and impeccably-kept grounds. With only 60 units in the entire complex, you'll never be crowded. Find two tennis courts, pickleball, a garden for harvesting your own fresh herbs for dinner, and a well-staffed front office. The pool area has its own unobstructed ocean views. Definitely 5 Stars!

Could not have asked for more in regards to lodging for our family get together! The unit was indeed ocean front and had everything we could have possibly wanted or needed. Ultra clean with the perfect location as it relates to the island. Spacious and privacy for all. Thank you for the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful home. It was indeed a pleasure.

Ocean views

This was our second time staying at the Poipu Kapili resort. The property is quiet, has a great pool right in the middle that was never too crowded to snag a spot and the sunset views can\'t be beat. Lots of things in walking distance from the condo and the drive from the airport is quick. The unit itself is well equipped - pots/pans, spices, etc and towels and beach supplies. Parking was close and convenient. The primary suite bed is comfortable and listening to the ocean at night was so relaxing! My only complaint, in comparison to other units, is there is a bit of lack of privacy in this unit as it directly faces the street and its in an area where others staying at the property walk right past. We did have a bit of street noise at night, but it wasn\'t for too long when it did happen.

Stunning Sunset Viewa

We stayed at this property for 10 days. The views of the ocean from the living area and master bedroom were spectacular. The kitchen and guest room had views of the pool and grassy area that included lots of palms and flowering plants. Sunset views from the property were looked forward to daily. There were sunset spectators but they were respectful and were always gone shortly after the sun went down, we never had excessive noise. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances and utensils and the upstairs bedrooms do have an air conditioning unit. The first floor even with sliders all opened was incredibly warm in the afternoon. We tried not to use any of the lights on the 1st floor to try to keep it cooler and more tolerable. The condo is about a 5-10 walk to a local coffee shop and the walk to Poipu Beach took about 15. We enjoyed several meals in Poipu but really found ourselves enamored with the small town of Koloa, about a 7 min drive. We would recommend any family to stay at this rental.

A real gem!

This is now our new home to stay when we visit Kaua'i. The location is perfect, being able to walk to beaches and watch the sunset. We loved having the multiple lanais to sit outside and relax. The location allowed us to visit the west and east coasts of Kaua'i easily. The home was comfortable and beautifully decorated. I would not recommend this property to a friend...only because we would want to rent it!

Beautiful location, awesome rental property

What can you say? Our family has stayed in Poipu Kapili several times, and every unit we have rented is awesome. However, this corner unit is extra special as the large open space grass area is right outside the door, and our children were able to play baseball, frisbee and just run around as we say on the side patio. Decor is very nice. Rental has every amenity you need. Highly recommend.

Great View!!

This place was awesome!! If had to complain about anything, I guess it would be the A/C. Each up-stair bedrooms had a small A/C unit, which it did cool it down a little. I would recommend them switching to a mini spilt for the upstairs and downstairs. We are from Texas and we love our A/C's cold.
Awaking up every day with the view from the master bedroom was amazing. The house was in a perfect location to run to the locator grocery store or taco stand. We ended up walking down to the Sheraton Beach and hanging out there each day. I would recommend this place.

70th Birthday Holiday

Outstanding Stay. Great location. Wonderful condo that is well stock. Very quiet for the most part. As a footnote it should be advised that this location is a popular spot for locals and tourist to visit during an hour before to an hour after sunset. For the most part it is very respectful and not an issue. You may experience a few who like to attract attention and spin their car tires to attract attention. In a twelve night stay there was only one evening where police were called. They handled the situation. That was a night of graduation weekend so a much younger and not so respectful gathering. This is not a knock against management company, nor the units location. I believe this should be noted, because according to people I spoke to this has been going on for years. It maybe be annoying or a problem for some renters. Again we had a wonderful and very relaxing holiday.

A Memorable Stay in a Wonderful Poipu Kapili Unit

Phenomenal accommodation! Had my eye on this specific unit for several years now, actually toured it a few years ago (pre Covid) when it was on the market. I longed to have the double lanais and opening to the expanse of lawn. Not disappointed whatsoever! Loved the unit, interior decor was wonderful, so nicely furnished, comfortable beds, plenty of linens, top end kitchen appliances....nothing but good things to say!!!

Outstanding-- would love to come back again!

We have stayed at Unit 51 for 5 years, both before and after it was renovated. The current owners did a great job in updating cabinets and furnishings. Poipu Kapili is a wonderful condo project and we think Unit 51 is best unit there. Great location, ocean and sunset views, expansive lawn area outside and two outside patios, and a short walk to the nearby excellent public beach at the Sheraton. The unit is well-stocked, including lots of beach equipment. And the guest relations staff is responsive and helpful.

Blissful stay

Book this rental! perfect location, clean, everything you can imagine needing in a vacation rental is there, comfortable beds and decorated oh so lovely. We visited for 8 days and did not want to leave

The pool area is quiet, gorgeous, and never crowded
Beautiful and easy (with the wagon) walk to the Sheraton beach (which was our favorite beach after visiting many around the island)
Pickle ball/ tennis easy to book
Short walk to shopping, coffee, drug store, dining
Very little traffic on the road in front of the unit during the day.
Cons:
The room AC units really didn't seem too do anything and were horribly loud so we didn't use them.
Very warm sleeping with all of the windows open and traffic noise. Once someone did a burn out at 11:00 PM that filled the room with smoke. Birds start making a lot of noise at 5:30 AM. If you are used to sleeping in a central AC environment it may be difficult to sleep. We made the best of it!
People park and gather along the road right in front of the unit every day from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM. How obnoxious it is depends on the predominant music playing and the people. One evening one group of young women were screaming and howling. One evening, it wasn't bad. We tried to not be in the unit or on the lanai from 6:00-Sunset. The situation is more tolerable in the pool which is a good option if you get back from dinner early.
Oddly, when you walk down the road, few people/ cars gather in front of the other homes and condo units on this road. Maybe the management of those units call the police or something?
Aside from this issue, the unit is practically perfect. We loved our stay! We stayed for 11 nights and could have stayed longer! A week would have been way too short.
One other note - the guidebook mentioned that spare sheets were in the upstairs hall closet. That closet is locked and marked "private." I called the r

The BEST!
This is the most beautiful townhouse with the most beautiful views. Our family of 4 enjoyed it so much. It is even more spacious and beautiful than in the photos. We loved sleeping to the sound of the ocean! We will be back!

This place was ideal for our relaxing vacation. Beautiful view, spacious and fully stocked. Great location, walkable to both shopping villages. The pullout is a small, thin double that is probably best for children. Our only complaint had nothing to do with the rental itself, but the road out front. People tend to come at sunset with loud sound systems in their vehicles. Most leave at a respectable hour and it wasn't a bother, but a few decided to show up at really late hours (midnight and later) and woke us up several times during our stay. The management company was quick to respond to our issues and very friendly.

One of the best places we've rented

This townhouse is even better than it looks in the photos. What you can't see is the great attention to detail and comfort. The spacious kitchen was stocked with a wonderful assortment of cookware and attractive serving dishes. The steps leading to the bedrooms even had automatic lights to show safe footing. We didn't need the air conditioning because every room had an efficient ceiling fan. Wifi, smart TV, etc all worked well. We enjoyed spectacular sunsets every night from the patio, and the pool was just a few steps away. The location offers an easy walk to five different beaches and also to resorts with beachfront restaurants. We would love to stay in the same place on any future trip to Kauai.

The Best
We had an excellent stay. The condo was very clean and I think newly renovated. There was everything that we needed for our stay. I have rented many vacation places and this was the best. The Ocean view was amazing. The property Mgmt Co was very responsive and helpful if needed.

Definitely Coming Back Again!

This is the 4th or 5th time we've stayed in Unit 51, and the first time since it was renovated a year or two ago. We have always enjoyed Unit 51 for its location in Koloa/Poipu and its layout, with two BR, two BA upstairs, and a full bath downstairs, with good kitchen and family room. This was our best stay yet, as the renovation has put it in first class condition. We love the ocean views from the primary BR, the kitchen/living room and the patio, and our grandkids love to play on the expansive common lawn area that extends out from the unit. We think this is the best unit in Poipu Kapili and we really like Poipu Kapili.

Amazing location & place!

Place was tastefully decorated & modern. Accommodations anticipated our every need. Felt like sleeping on the beach since was so close which was delightful. Everyone stops what they are doing for nightly sunset of which this is a prime location.

Kapili 51 top notch

Our entire stay was fantastic. I couldn't have asked for a better location. Beautiful sunsets, pool, walking distance to the beach, etc, etc. The only downfall was the faulty wifi. We contacted CBIP and asked if they could fix it - which they did. Unfortunately, it only lasted about 12 hours before it stopped working again. We did our best without wifi for the entire trip, minus 12 hours. Even with this issue, I would rate our stay a 99 out of 100. Kauai is all about Aloha, and this unit was a perfect fit.
