The Menehune Shores condominium complex boasts a prime oceanfront location in North Kihei. Guests staying at Menehune Shores will enjoy touring the museum next door at the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale Sanctuary Visitor Center, swimming in the huge and ancient Hawaiian fishpond right at the front of the property, or enjoying an oceanfront dinner at Monsoon's Indian Restaurant on the ground-floor level.

Nice Stay

Nice stay, condo had everything we needed. Air conditioner worked great. Complex was peaceful and quiet at night. On site restaurant was awesome. We saw turtles out front on the rock wall daily. Had one minor issue on our 3rd night where the door code stopped working. Called management company after hours and problem was resolved remotely literally within 10 minutes. Very responsive management team.

Highly recommend!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Tom's place for a short weekend trip with my parents. The unit was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It was also located just a few minutes walk to the beach and easily Uberable to and from many popular areas. Highly recommend!

Family of 6

This property worked out excellent with a 10, 5 and two 3 year olds.beds are comfortable and kitchen is nice, only thing that would be better in kitchen is plastic plates, bowls and cups.

Great Condo!

We had a great experience at Menehune Shores. When we arrived, the condo was very welcoming and clean. The condo has everything you could need. We loved the little decor and the layout is perfect. The beds were really comfortable. They are stocked with all items you could need including YETI mugs to use at the beach. The kids loved the green space to run around right outside our patio door. The restaurant that is there is excellent if you like Indian food.

Some Cons: It is definitely a bit of a drive to some of the more popular beaches as well as restaurants in Kehei. There were two field trips from schools at the whale exhibit (which is right next door) while we were there making things a bit noisier than we liked. Also, with it being close to the road, it made it a little noisier if we were relaxing on patio during the day. We also found this property windier than others that we had visited, for some reason.
Overall, this property is very lovely, well maintained. Checking in and out was a breeze. Communication was excellent the whole time. We had a great time!

Family Vacation

We loved our rental and would totally stay there again. The management company was very responsive and helpful when we had a question or needed something. The air conditioning seemed a bit rare for the complex and was super helpful since we were putting a baby down for naps midday, it kept them from overheating. Location was good, it wasn't walkable to any shops or stores, but we had a rental car and finding parking in more central Kihei was never an issue.

Good place!

Ground floor unit was great. Easy access to pool and beach. Protected swimming area for the kids was a plus when the trade winds picked up in the afternoons and the ocean was a bit rough for them to swim in. Unit was clean and as described. Amenities such as the beach chairs, boogie board, sand toys for the kids and cooler for the adults were a definite plus and made the beach days much more enjoyable. Only drawback is there isn’t much within walking distance, but that was acceptable with way fewer people around than the mega resorts. Could easily get a pool chair anytime of the day which was great. Overall good stay and clean property.

A week in paradise

My party consisted of 3 adults and 3 kids (10, 7, 4) and we all enjoyed our stay very much. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms clean. The kitchen was well appointed with appliances and also nice touches like Yeti mugs to borrow and take along on adventures. There was snorkel gear outside and the hallway closet had many “leftover” items from previous guests including sunscreen, shampoos, etc. Since we had the max number of guests we did run out of toilet paper after about 5 days but there was a good supply to start for a shorter trip or smaller family. We loved being able to walk right out from the lanai to the lawn and beach, and at night we sat on the lawn in the provided beach chairs and watched the stars. The location is fantastic- close to the airport and local Kihei shops but also an easy drive to Lahaina. Parking is a bit of a challenge in a larger vehicle- the spots are TIGHT. The property management was very thorough in instructions and offered help but none was needed. Very communicative beforehand, even letting us know there would be bug spraying while we were there (also no trouble!). I would not hesitate to recommend or stay there again, we’re already thinking about another trip!

Lovely Condo, excellent location!

We absolutely loved this condo. It was perfect for the 4 of us. The location was great. Our favorite part was the patio that opened up to grassy open space that led to the beach. We had one maintenance issue that was addressed promptly and while we were out.

Trip to Menehune Shores

Our 2nd trip to Menehune Shores, first to #102. We rented two ground floor condos. What we love, safe for young children walled in, 30 yards to beach and beautiful walks on beach from condo in both directions from condo.
Loved purified water system in condo. Met all our needs, property clean and well maintained and a Kihei a great location. My suggestions for improvements would be a Keurig Coffee maker in kitchen, a television in master bedroom and basic cable in bedrooms and would prefer 2 kingsize beds in bedrooms instead of two singles in second bedroom. If I was ultra picky I would hide all cables from tv in living room, update remote control and cable equipment

Maui stay during spring break 2022

Overall, we had a wonderful holiday in Maui as our goal was to spend holiday with grandkids who stayed in another unit in this conplex.( 100 metres away. Our unit recently remodeled so a very new and clean feel as compared to sons older unit. Location was outstanding and ideal as reefed in beach so safe and appropriate for our young grandkids.. three under fouryears of age. Plus because both our units were on ground floor,there was such easy access to our unit, the grassy area and to pool/beach for little ones. Only glitch was that there were plumbing issues (old pipes in complex to be replaced in next few years) and kitchen had to be closed off ( unusable while repairs were being done). We were lucky we had kitchen use in sons unit. The management company did compensate us with discount for inconvenienced 5 days when we had no kitchen use plus they did not charge on last day for no water use at all ( washrooms included ) for majority of time on last day. The resident manager did what he could . Management company very accessible for communication and they were quick to reply, I must say and to remedy our accommodation needs. At times, when sitting out on lawn area, we could hear bit of traffic as we were two units in from parking lot but it was not inconvenient. I would definately recommend this place for young famnilies, but might want to make sure all plumbing working until replacement work is done.

Great get away

The overall experience was truly amazing, couldn’t be happier. My wife and I booked this place because we needed a place to stay that was close to our wedding. Everything we had booked in advance was an easy 10-20min drive any place we needed to go. Such a beautiful condo looking forward to booking next year for our anniversary.
