Spectacular View Condo - Great Location in the Ekolu Complex

908 is a fantastic unit and it presents so much better than the photos! The view from this condo is spectacular, beautifully furnished,decorated an and very well equipped with everything one needs to have an enjoyable stay, I am an owner in Ekolu and rented this condo for my 2 sons this is the 3rd condo in the complex that I have rented and this is by far the BEST ONE! I only have one comment, the supplies that are left for a 2 week stay are on the light side - 4 dishwasher pods, 1 roll of paper towels no laundry soap and the worst toilet paper ever. Luckily my condo is close by and I was able to provide them with the basic supplies for a 2 week period.

Amazing View

This unit is GREAT!!! My husband and I took a chance and booked this unit twice for two different vacations based on the provided pictures on CB Island's website. The property is quiet, clean and has an amazing sunset view. Our favorite thing to do every morning was sit and eat breakfast out on the lanai. We get to listen to the birds chirps and on a rare occasion hear the ocean crashing. Proximity to awesome shopping, beaches and great eats. Tara from Cb Island was super helpful with any questions and needs that I had. We would definitely stay here again.Things I hope will be fixed for future stays; (nit picking at this point)-Bring your own bath towels, the provided towels smelled cleaned, but once they got wet has a wet dog smell both visits-Ants in the master bathroom, not a lot just enough to remind you to not to let your guard down. -Master bathroom shower is slow to drain.-The property has quiet time (10PM-8AM) but the surrounding golf course doesn't abide by that on multiple occasions on both stays we were woken up from people working on the lawn anywhere from 3AM-4:30 AM Again this unit is great, cant wait to book our next adventure.

A Nice Unit.

The unit was clean and had excellent air conditioning and fans. The view is excellent and the unit is just above a golf green. Nice supply of beach towels and beach chairs. Plenty of parking and you can walk down the hill to shops and restaurants. We were disappointed by a few things: The unit is the most poorly stocked of the 5 or so I have rented in the last 12 years. There is salt and pepper. That's it. It's nice to have some spices and olive oil, etc. Also: Two rolls of the cheapest toilet paper you can buy in each bathroom for a nine night stay is ridiculous. Same with the paper towels. At this price, we shouldn't have to buy our own. We like Wailea Ekolu and will come back. It's a great place and a great location. Wasn't crazy to find that the connecting unit was under renovation on the weekdays. Lots of hammering and sawing. Definitely lessened our enjoyment.

Excellent condo with terrific views of the ocean.

This place is wonderful. First off, the entire condo was **** & span, clean! I mean clean, clean. Plenty of storage throughout, plus it has been updated beyond what you’d even expect. From the bedrooms & bathrooms... to the living room with a PS5 & plenty of games... to the snorkel gear, this place has it all & is the nicest we’ve stayed in over the years. The kitchen is fully stocked & then some. Anything that you could possibly need is there. The views of the ocean & the huge lanai are amazing. I honestly can’t come up with a single negative about this place. We will definitely be back.

A great experience!

I truly had a wonderful time at Wailea Ekolu condos! The rooms were beautifully decorated, and all amenities were comfortable. They were also centrally located a short distance from the resorts and restaurants.
Also the view was unbelievable!!

My only thing was we accidentally got locked out of our condo but someone quickly reset the code for us!

Five Stars!

This condo was in a perfect location and with the best view of the ocean. While not on the beach, it is less than .5 miles to walk or drive to the beach - and very quiet and relaxing. The unit was very clean, well decorated and equipped with everything we needed. Beach chairs and towels were appreciated and we rented an umbrella for the week from a local business. This was our first trip to HI and Maui - and in particular, Wailea, was the most beautiful and well maintained area. We loved everything about our stay in this condo. We will return. Mahalo!

Great stay in Maui

We stayed for the first time in Wailea after being recommended to check out units at the Ekolu. The day before our stay, unfortunately the AC went out in the unit - however, the management company provided prompt notification with options, and by the time we arrived, had portable AC units set up for us (along with giving us a discount on our stay). The portable units made our stay perfectly comfortable. You can’t beat the view of this place - it has to be one of the best in the complex. We were pleasantly surprised that the unit was in great shape and clean (we’ve found other rentals not to match up with the pics - this one I’d say is even better in person!). The location isn’t busy, is private, and easy access to everything. Parking was never an issue, and the unit is equipped with quality items/everything you’d need! We would 100% stay here again, and we’ve already referred others looking to visit Maui. Thank you!

A Beautiful home

This unit is one of the best Ekolu properties we have ever rented. It has a fabulous view of the ocean and overlooks the golf course. It is tastefully furnished with great beds and modern appliances. The only knock is that the greens keepers begin mowing at 8am so sleeping in can be a problem

Wonderful Maui Condo

The condo, Ekolu 908, is a nicely furnished unit with a grand golf course and ocean view. It has everything in the kitchen one will need to cook and prepare great meals. The bbq grills at the complex are nearby and we used them often to cook fresh fish we bought at a nearby market. The beds are comfortable. The deck is nicely furnished. One night there were fireworks at the Grand Wailea which is located a little over 1/4 mile straight behind out condo. The deck provided a perfect view to the fireworks and made it feel like they were just for us! We would love to come back and stay here again.

Best views in Wailea!

Excellent accommodation in an excellent location! The unit has been very tastefully updated to take on a local charm. Very good split-unit A/C (that’s the good kind!) for those of us who need a little reprieve from the glorious but constant Maui warmth. Easy walking distance to Shops at Wailea where you can find a nice mix of shopping and dining opportunities AND and an even shorter walk to the newish Wailea Village with some really cool shopping and dining experiences. The unit itself has an unbelievable, unobstructed view perched above the 10th (I think) green of the Wailea Blue Golf Course. You can see from Makena State Park all the way over to the west Maui mountains. Every morning you can watch the various snorkel and dive boats make their way out to Molokini, and while we were there, we could see many blow spouts of the whales making their way along the coast. The management were highly responsive, and the check-in process was seamless. It was an excellent experience, and will be top of our list for future visits!

A relaxing stay

As others have mentioned, the view really is incredible, and it's wonderful spending time on the lanai relaxing and watching the sun set. The place itself was clean and though there were some maintenance issues, management tended to them quickly. We'd definitely stay here again.

(Note: while we were told there is no propane grilling allowed, there is absolutely a gas grill near the unit that was in use. Otherwise, pick up some charcoal and use the charcoal grill.)

Aloha Mr. Osborne, Thank you for your review. Our apologies regarding the maintenance issues, we do our best to stay ahead of them but sometimes things go wrong and we can only promptly respond. I am glad we were able to resolve the issues quickly. Sorry for the confusion on the gas grills. Recently, Maui County has changed its policy allowing grills on the lanai (porch). If you were informed there was no propane grill, this should have been relayed that there is not one in the unit. You are correct that the property does have grills that can be used on a first come first serve basis. Mahalo for booking with CB Island vacations.

Amazing Condo Near Wailea!

Great Maui Condo!

Nice Condo with an amazing view,

Very nice condo with an updated kitchen, nice TV with streaming service and an amazing view from the Lanai. The location is minutes from Wailea Village and many amazing restaurants in the area. I was so impressed with the staff at CB Island vacations. We had to change our dates several times due to COVID, and they were tremendous in accommodating us. Our only wish would be that the master bedroom had a bigger bed. Other than that, everything was great!

Enjoyed our stay

The four members of our party had a nice stay. The kitchen and bathrooms have been nicely remodeled. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. The unit has a washer and dryer which is nice for longer stays. The air conditioning worked great. The unit is a relatively short 5 minute walk down to the beach. You have to find your way through a resort and/or find the access roads to Wailea or Ulua beaches. We found lots of good local restaurants in nearby Kihei. A tip - ask the wait staff for recommendations. We had a few minor quibbles. The internet access kept dropping. We called the local provider directly who came out and diagnosed a problem with the equipment/wiring in the building. Fortunately they were able to repair the same day but I'm surprised previous renters had apparently not reported issues. The complex offers recycling, however the items need to be sorted into separate containers. The unit info/instruction sheet should make this clear. We reported the following to the management company: Some of the cushions on the chairs on the lanai need to be cleaned or replaced. The dining area chairs are showing lots of wear and need to be replaced. A storage closet door was off the track and needed to be fixed. Overall a nice unit and very nice stay.

It is so great that you have made your way to the beaches and restaurants near by along with making connections with the locals. Since your stay we are looking at getting new cushions for the lanai as well as getting the closet door back on track. Great place for our quiet, serene honeymoon

My wife and I spent a few days here for our honeymoon. The nearby beaches were the best beaches in the world, including Big Beach, White Rock, and Secret Cove, which looks like a beach from a dream. The area was quiet, the property was pristine, elegant, and comfortable. Multiple nearby restaurants had amazing food/atmosphere. The view was jaw-dropping. I just kept staring at the ocean and could not look away. Could not have been more satisfied.

The great and not so great

The rental unit itself was great, just what we expected from the online description. Not so great is the fact that after getting a "Total Quote" for the unit, supposedly including all fees (these were spelled out) we discovered (from our credit card statement) that VRBO hit us for another $115.00 that was not disclosed anywhere.
When I called CBIP they said that VRBO is the listing service they use. So why was I charged for this? Or, why wasn't the VRBO fee disclosed? A quick reading of the CBIP contract reveals that it does not mention VRBO even once!

We enjoyed our stay at the Wailea Ekolu 908 condo. The views from this condo are absolutely the best. It's located close to the shopping center in Wailea and the resort beach walks.

The furnishings are nice, but a little dated, but not bad. The place has a nice Hawaiian theme throughout. The furniture could have been a little cleaner. Speaking specifically about the couch and dining chairs.
Items in need of improvement:
1. The unit has a small washer/dryer and it's horrible and in need of replacement. There was mold growing in the unit and it takes a long to wash and dry a load. This is the biggest complaint we had.
2. The TV in the master bedroom we were never able to figure out. Most likely operator error, but we couldn't figure it out.
3. The unit has AC but it takes a while for the AC to cool the place down, as it's a hybrid of a wall unit.

In short, we would stay there again and very much enjoyed out stay, but the things I mention above would have significantly improved on the experience. We also had a Gecko who spent a couple of days in the Master Bath with us. I finally relocated him to the landscaping outside.

Great Accomodation with one caveat

Great location with a fantastic view from the lanai.
Spacious and clean condo.
Short walk to shops and restaurants.
Short drive to Big Beach and Maluaka Beach.
However, one significant caveat was that the blinds in both bedrooms were damaged wich makes it hard to sleep longer than sunrise and put kids to bed during the day.

We stay at Ekolu most of the time when we travel to Maui and have enjoyed many of the properties over the years. We chose this unit and were most pleased with it. From the lavish grass cloth covered ceilings to the wonderfully updated kitchen, this unit is one of the nicest yet. The view is unparalleled and unobstructed. The sunsets are fabulous.

Vacations should be stress free--this rental is!

There are lots of reasons to vacation on resort properties or not. For us, being off resort in a home based setting was our desire and this property ticked all the boxes. Easy to reserve, locate, access, use and depart. The rental was high end all around (and I've been in Paris apartments, Greek cave homes and Amsterdam boat rentals!!) and my husband said hands down, his favorite in all our world travels. Why? Instant relaxation via the furnishings, views, solace and singing birds. We golfed most days, we visited every near by resort (Fairmont, Four Seasons, Grand Wailea and Marriott) for the dining 'experience'. Wailea Beach park is an easy 2 minute drive next to the Four Seasons too--early mornings after a home made breakfast spent at the beach reading and swimming added to our bonus downtime. Loved, loved this rental and look forward to returning!!! Mahalo

Million Dollar View

Our overall stay in #908 was enjoyable. The unit was exactly as described however we would like to make a few suggestions. As being previous owners of a condominium in Wailea there are some deficiences that could be corrected to make the stay an A+.
First, the door mat at the front door was dirty and worn. The edges were curled that could cause a fall. Not a good first impression of the unit.
The bed pillows should be replaced every 6 months. We purchased our own pillows for comfort.
The carpeting in both bedrooms was extremely soiled.
The kitchen window blind was broken allowing sun to pour into the kitchen preventing the unit to cool.
The window blind in the twin bed bedroom was broken.
The air conditioner in the kitchen, mail living area was very noisy and not cooling the unit properly.
Other than these maintenance issues the unit is beautiful and offers a true Hawaiian experience.

Amazing home!!!

We just got back from a week long stay in this beautiful vacation rental and we couldn't be happier! The view was perfection, the furnishings were pristine, and it felt like home. We were so sad to leave! There was even a lovely gift basket filled with candy, fruit and snacks waiting for us when we arrived. We will definitely be back! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!
